If you add the CSS to your style sheet and call the specific classes, you can output something like I have already when the page loads! Dan Eden, who is the developer, has a wide assortment of different effects to use. Most of them are, surprisingly, ready to go for most of the modern web browsers. I can highly recommend this to any developer looking to add a nice twist to their site! Check it out!

It was just an ordinary day, browsing all the Forrst posts by their great users. Oddly enough I found a post from someone who was looking to make a collab group over the internet. Our main job would be to provide affordable, high-quality web based work as a team. We would be internationally based around the globe. If you were to look around the net for similar groups, most are in-house, meaning all members are location based, but as you can tell this wouldn’t be the case.

When I sent in an email describing my skills, I found myself in a lush environment of people who are highly talented. Even though we are a three man team (at the moment) we found ourselves working together from the start very smoothly. We each have a specific job in our collaboration. Eric, in Switzerland, is our CEO and co-founder and has some of the best Photoshop skills I’ve seen. Tom, in England, is the COO and other co-founder, and is a very talented developer who can learn at an instant, whether it be a new language or a new process. My job, currently, is a front-end developer. Right now I also do some back-end work pertaining to WordPress and some PHP. In the mean time we are little down for a couple of reasons; I am nearing the end of my basketball season, and we are looking for back-end only developer.

So the name, ’5 Lines’, kind of odd, no? Well it was interesting name that I thought of for a while for a group that I wanted start. Sadly enough that idea was lost in the cloud of thought. One day, while chatting with the group of then five people, someone mentioned the name ‘Le Pixel’, which is the name for one of our themes. No one really thought that came off the tongue well. So I suggested the name ’5 Lines’. The number 5 representing (at the start) the five members of the group. The ‘Lines’ part representing lines of code. Everyone agreed on this one because it made more sense, was short and easier to remember. The ‘Creative’ part was added later to extend the name for special purposes, like our Twitter account. As a team we have overcome some start-up challenges, like registering our business as an LTD, and sorting through bank and legalities. We are just about close to professional as you can get.

As I embark on the great journey ahead, I hope to have the best experience possible at 5 Lines. I close this post out, formally announcing 5 Lines Creative open for business! Happy Reading!

Is it really 2012 already? Gosh, time does fly by too fast these days. Well, it’s officially my first blog post in a heck of a long time. As you can tell I have done some major renovations here. All of which is complete just in time for the start of the new year. One way I can start off the new year in the right direction is by thanking one of my good friends, Eric. A little background info – Eric Hoffman is a great designer, and a great CEO over at 5 Lines Creative, which I am so happy to be a part of. You see, Eric was kind enough to get things rolling with a redesign of my site. What I asked for was for it to be really simple, clean, and easy on the eyes. As you can see, Eric hit all of those marks and made a great piece of art. Now hold on there partner, I did make some minor adjustments and added some social goodies, oh and of course, made it WordPress’d and all. So I guess you can say this was a team effort that worked out really well.

In the very near future, I will still be making some changes getting all the knicks and kranies all sorted out. I also have a very special post in store, it’s about me joining the 5 Lines Creative crew and how things got started. Well, it’s a new year and I still got a lot of work to do. So I will leave you here, typing away, blasting some Mötley Crüe on New Years Day. Ciao!
